Directory transparency
How listings are ordered
Standard results use consistent, non-paid rules. A firm cannot currently pay to change its position.
Default directory order
The “most relevant” sort prioritises profiles with useful public contact details such as a website, phone number and opening hours, then uses the practice name as a consistent tie-breaker. Visitors can instead sort alphabetically.
Area and service matches
Area pages are based on the public address or neighbourhood associated with each practice. Service filters are inferred from factual business categories and owner-approved descriptions. Firms should confirm the exact scope directly.
Paid placement
Paid positions are visibly labelled “Sponsored” and separated from neutral ordering rules. One sponsor may occupy each defined position at a time. Payment does not change factual profile fields.
